Slacking off on your Skin Care Makes Pimples Pop up more Frequently

Pimples pop up more frequently when you’re an adolescent. Hormonal changes make your sebaceous glands produce more sebum. This increase in oil production promotes clogged pores because the sebum mixes with dead skin cells and debris.

Clogged pores are the basis of all types of acne. If you are not following through with a daily cleansing routine, your odds for getting pimples just went up. Acne isn’t on anyone’s wish list, so the first step in pimples treatment is finding the adequate skin care routine.

First, determine your skin type. There are 3 main types of skin: combination, oily, and dry skin. Combination skin is a mix of two types skin: Oily skin, which is the one that produces excess sebum, and dry skin, which tends not to have much sebum.

Pimples pop up more frequently in people who have oily skin or combination skin. This happens because both of these skin types produce too much sebum.

Once you’ve determined your skin type, pick a cleanser that is appropriate for you. Cream cleansers are usually the best choice for dry skin. Use oil-free, foaming cleansers for oily and combination skin.

If you want to control your acne, then purchase a cleanser that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Both of these products are excellent for controlling breakouts. If your skin is sensitive, switch off this type of cleanser with a normal one to keep your skin from becoming too irritated.

After cleansing, follow up with a toner. Dry skin benefits most with the use of an alcohol and fragrance free toner, while an oil free toner is ideal for oily and combination skin.

If you have non-sensitive oily skin, then you can use a toner that contains alcohol. Take care when using this type of product because, even if you have oily skin, it can lead to irritation and dryness. Remember, toners are used to remove excess debris, so if you are using a good cleanser you probably won’t need a toner.

Finally, apply your favorite skin moisturizer. For oily skin try a water based moisturizer that is very light, however, for dry skin, choose a thick, creamy moisturizer.

If you have combination skin, you can try one product for each skin type. Or you can use a light moisturizer that is frequently reapplied to the drier areas of your skin. Moisture is essential to healthy skin, so don’t skip this step.

If you still think that skin care is not that important, think about this. If you leave a pimple un-treated or treat it incorrectly, that small pimple can lead to acne scarring. What’s worse: spending a few minutes a day to cleanse your face, or spending a life time following an acne scars treatment regimen?

By not following a daily skin care regime you risk making your acne worse. Daily cleansing not only makes your skin smoother it can also help prevent acne scars. If you don’t like the chemicals found in most acne products, you can prefer the use of natural skin care products like BIOSKINCLEAR or BIOACNECARE. These wonderful products will help treat acne pimples safely and effectively.
