Surgeries for Acne Scars

Even thinking about surgery can be frightening. Going under the knife in order to alleviate acne scars is the last alternative for people afflicted by damaged tissues and ice pick acne scars.

The issue becomes- how stressed and bothered are you by your acne scars? If you love your skin, acne scars are obviously going to trouble you. Do you feel so uncomfortable walking around in public with blemishes that you feel the desire to endure a painful surgery to heal them?

There are not many acne scar treatments available that heal the worst form of scarring, the ice pick acne scar. Because such scars appear to be made by someone stabbing your face with a sharp object, they are usually the most psychologically painful scars to deal with. The reason they don’t react to traditional scar treatments is because they require an ingredient that promotes the development of collagen and elastin in the skin.

Scar removal is becoming more and more possible with the latest advancements in technology. Laser scar removal is now quite common for people with post inflammatory scarring and redness. Laser sessions alleviate mild to moderate acne scars but not seriously depressed acne scars, and they don’t promote the rebuilding elements necessary to fill in the holes. You will spend hundreds of dollars on an acne scar solution that won’t help you.

Treating acne scars appropriately

Fractional Resurfacing is one of the latest advances in laser skin resurfacing. The method is similar to other technologies in the way that the laser heats the dermis and starts a cause and response. The non-invasive acne scarring therapy benefits small treatment areas, permeating deep into the skin and leaving the surrounding skin untouched and intact. This ‘fractional’ therapy allows the skin to heal much faster using the body’s innate healing process to create new, healthy, tighter tissue.

Anywhere from 13 to 20% of the area is alleviated, leaving a majority of the scar or damaged skin untreated, hence the name ‘fractional resurfacing’. Only a portion of the skin is resurfaced at any one time. This facial acne scar treatment allows quick wound healing and a low chance of complications. Post skin treatment side effects include a burning or tingling feeling. Other people complain of swelling and hyperpigmentation. Treatments are usually repeated every two weeks but must be repeated 4 to 5 times for best results, the complication being that 3 treatments cost about 1,000 dollars and each one after that is about $500.

There is an acne scar cure called punch excision that is used frequently to help alleviate severe acne scarring. Small surgical devices are used to effectively cut out the depressed holes and the wound is then sewn up and stitched. The strange aspect of this acne scar surgery is that you are just replacing one scar with another. This is not how to alleviate acne scars… however, people think that the surgical scars are just a little easier to live with.

You can now get rid of scars and various types of skin conditions with an at home acne treatment elaborated with natural components that regenerate your skin without producing undesired side effects.
